Healing Discipline: Part 2, The Joy Continues.... | Holiday Inn Express & Suites McCall | donderdag, 25. juni 2020

Course Details
Conference is two days:

June 25th, 2020 from 8:30 to 5:30
June 26th, 2020 from 8:30 to 5:30

Workshop Description:
Why this course?
Instead of getting easier education is getting harder. More children are coming into our schools not having the self regulation to manage their own behavior or to sit quietly through a lesson. Educators are feeling overwhelmed by the enormity of their responsibilities along with the constant disruptions and chaos that ruin their best laid plans.
Course Description:
This course is designed for those who have taken our first course: "Healing Discipline: Finding Joy While Working with Challenging Students".  In this conference, we will spend time exploring our needs, our priorities, our emotional triggers, and roadblocks that get in the way of taking care of ourselves. As we delve deeper into understanding ourselves we can more easily set boundaries with students, form healthy relationships with colleagues, and develop strong teams.  When educators have a better understanding of themselves they are less likely to take their students' behavior personally, therefore, they can make connections and set healthy boundaries that can lead to healing for their students. We will spend time reviewing healing discipline strategies and learn additional strategies to help with managing student behavior.  We will work together to create and share Healing Discipline Behavior Plans that can be immediately implemented in the school setting.
