Student Voting @ Dartmouth | Lecture Room Three | zaterdag, 12. september 2020

Please join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (Xi Lambda), Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity (Mu Chi Alumni), and the Dartmouth NAACP for a lecture and workshop on Student Voting in the Granite State featuring Edward Taylor, Field Representation, NexGen America.

Voting is a fundamental right and the responsibility of all citizens in our democracy. But recent changes in New Hampshire law have increased restrictions, making it harder for students from out of state to vote where they attend school. Edward Taylor will examine the role millennials have played in shaping local, state, and national political campaigns; his discussion will be followed by a student voting workshop with specific instructions on what students need to do in order to register and vote on Primary Day on February 11, 2020.

Representatives from the Office of the Hanover Town Clerk and the Dartmouth Registrar will be available to provide the necessary documents to allow interested students to register on site. A brief reception will immediately follow to allow attendees to meet our guest speaker. This event is open to all members of the Dartmouth College community (includes current students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and local residents). If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Hermann Mazard '87.
